In Conversation Dinner: Alick Tipoti & Samuel Tupou

Join artists Alick Tipoti and Samuel Tupou for a two course dinner at Circa, The Prince and hear first hand about the techniques, traditional designs and cultural contexts that inform their artworks.

Alick Tipoti is a Torres Strait Islander whose artistic practice is guided by the traditional cultural practices of his people – their stories, songs, languages, art and performance.

New Zealand artist Samuel Tupou is known for his vivid colour, pop sensibility, industrial materials and street art techniques that are combined with patterns of traditional Tongan Tapa designs drawn from his Pacific Islander heritage.
