Lucas Davidson > Case Study

Lucas first exhibited at Linden as part of Innovators 3 in 2014. Exhibiting at Linden was unique for Lucas as it was his largest project realized outside of Sydney at the time. Lucas felt supported having a team of professional curators, installers and staff to discuss the logistics of realizing his installation. Lucas felt the history and architecture of Linden gave him the opportunity to work outside of the white cube, allowing new possibilities to occur that changed the context and reading of the work. The documentation collated through his Linden exhibition allowed him to successfully apply for alternative spaces that have continued to develop and extend his installation practice. Lucas believes it is important to have organisations such as Linden to support and aid in the development of experimental new works. Find out more about Lucas > HERE
