Let your imagination take flight in this hands-on Paper Kite Making Workshop at Linden New Art! Led by designer and maker Jen Tran, this workshop invites kids aged 7–12 to craft vibrant paper kites using simple materials and creative techniques.

From colourful patterns to playful designs, children will learn to transform paper and string into one-of-a-kind flying creations. Once the kites are ready, it’s time to take them for a test flight and see them soar!

ABOUT OUR FACILITATOR

JEN TRAN

Jen is a designer and maker who engages people of all ages to make and create. As a designer she has worked in theatre, film and television since 2011. Her most recent project is called MaaMaa & Nonna’s Kitchen, where a Chinese grandmother and an Italian grandmother leads children and their carers through a messy and sensorial workshop of making mantao (steamed buns) and focaccia (flat bread). Currently she runs weekly Crafternoon Workshop For Kids at Woods Street Arts Space in Laverton.
