At Linden New Art, we welcome school groups of all ages and provide enriching experiences that foster creativity, critical thinking, and a
deeper understanding of contemporary art.
Linden offers educational programs which can be tailor-made to suit your learning focus and curriculum. Each school visit is unique and developed in partnership with Linden and the teacher. School visits may be hourly, half day or full day.

We offer free guided tours for primary, secondary, and tertiary students. Led by our Curator, each tour is tailored to suit the unique learning objectives of your school, providing an interactive exploration of our current exhibitions. Gallery tours are available between 11am-4pm, Tuesday to Friday. Please book at least one week in advance. Our exhibitions vary in scale, from large solo shows spanning the entire gallery to multiple smaller exhibitions. For day excursions, we can also recommend nearby galleries and museums to complement your visit.

Discover the history of Linden from the traditional owners of the land, the Boon Wurrung people, to its ownership from 1870 by Jewish family, the Michaelis, to its life as a public art gallery from 1986. This tour can be offered alongside Curator's Tour.

Our outreach programs bring Linden New Art directly to your school, making art accessible to students who may have limited opportunities to visit us in person. These sessions encourage creative and critical thinking through discussions and art-making activities inspired by Linden’s exhibitions. For VCE students, we offer free sessions aligned with the curriculum, providing insight into the processes of designing exhibitions, displaying artworks, and promoting shows in a non-collection-based gallery.
